NIH calls for more aggressive treatment of high cholesterol

WASHINGTON - Aggressive new guidelines for doctors treating people at risk for heart disease could nearly triple the number of Americans taking cholesterol-lowering drugs. Deaths from heart disease could be reduced dramatically, experts said.
